The Kids
Institute for Development and Advancement, in partnership with UCI and CHOC, is
announcing its first Visiting Professor Seminar on Autism and Social
Development.
IRVINE, Calif. – KIDA will be sponsoring a seminar on
“Autism and Tragectories in Early Social Development” to be held on June 06, 2009 at CHOC, the
Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
The seminar will feature a lecture by Catherine Lord, Ph.D.,
Director of the University of Michigan Autism and Communications Disorders
Center. Dr. Lord is an
internationally renown clinical and research psychologist known for her work in
the social and communicative development of children with autistic spectrum
disorders.
Continuing to lead the treatment of Autism in Orange County with
innovative, research-based programs, KIDA is committed to serving the children
and families in the Autism community. This seminar is an opportunity for KIDA
to share the expertise of Dr. Lord to the
families and professionals of Orange
County.
The event will be hosted by CHOC Neuroscience Institute, For
OC Kids/ CHOC/UCI Neurodevelopmental Center, and the University
of California Irvine, School of Medicine.
The seminar will be held at the CHOC Children’s Hospital Wade
Education Center’s Ambulatory Care Center Building on Saturday June 06, at
9:00am. More information and ticket purchasing coming soon at www.kida.com. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the CHOC Foundation.

KIDA, The Kids Institute for Development and Advancement, is announcing its 1 year anniversary of helping children with Autism.
IRVINE, Calif. –It has been one year since the private launch of KIDA, leading the study and treatment of Autism in Orange County. The past year, KIDA has grown to include on-site licensed occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, applied behavior therapists and numerous other professional care providers. Our innovative organization has assisted young kids with Autism and other learning disabilities. We have improved their intellectual development by enhancing their social development, communication skills and sensory skills. KIDA has a state-of the-art facility leading Orange County in the study and treatment of Autism.
With new additions to its staff, KIDA continues to grow at a rapid pace.KIDA’s state-of- the-art facility offers a sensory gym covering more than 2,000 square feet, a parent lounge with observation windows, cutting edge therapeutic equipment, and a small group therapy room.
We are proud of our substantial growth over this past year. We have served the children of Orange County with Autism and other learning disabilites and are dedicated to surpassing our efforts over the upcoming year.
KIDA is also happy to announce that we are now a Regional Center vendor for both Occupational Therapy and ABA Therapy.
